Gwendolyn Hope-Battley

Gwendolyn Hope-Battley was born in Killeen, Texas. She attended The University of Texas at Arlington where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, in 2004. Hope-Battley also attended The Academy of Art University and obtained her Masters of Fine Art degree. Gwendolyn Hope-Battley is an artist and art teacher. Hope-Battley’s paintings are inspired by her memory and her photographs of beautiful places she visited during vacations. She uses oil paint and canvas to capture the calming colors of the sea, cool relaxing colors of the winter, vibrant colors of the fall and warm colors of the spring and summer. Her intention is to capture the memory of a mood she had while being outdoors. Hope-Battley paints in realism and is enthusiastic about capturing nature on canvas and eliciting a feeling of tranquility or energy. Hope-Battley currently resides in DFW with her family.
